*SERVICE CHARTER**
**FOREWORD**
As the Chairperson of the Kirinyaga County Public Service Board (CPSB), I am honored to present this Service Charter. This document serves as a testament to our commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in public service. It outlines the guiding principles and standards that we, as a Board, uphold in the execution of our mandate.
The Kirinyaga County Public Service Board is dedicated to fostering a professional and sustainable public service. This requires individuals who embody integrity, commitment, and foresight. Our team pledges to act with responsibility and fairness, ensuring that our operations are guided by the highest standards of corporate governance.
In this Charter, we detail our vision, mission, and core values, which are the cornerstone of our operations. We are committed to attracting, enabling, retaining, and inspiring a professional and results-oriented public service. Our core values of integrity, inclusivity, professionalism, responsiveness, transparency, accountability, fairness, equity, and efficiency will guide us in achieving this mission.
The services we offer and the timelines for their delivery are clearly outlined in this Charter. We aim to respond to external correspondences within 48 hours, process requests for the creation or abolition of offices within 90 days, and ensure disciplinary actions and appointments are handled promptly. By adhering to these timelines, we demonstrate our commitment to efficiency and responsiveness.
This Charter also underscores our role in promoting ethical standards within the County Public Service, advising on performance management systems, and liaising with strategic partners. These activities are crucial in maintaining a high standard of public service and ensuring that our operations are aligned with the statutory requirements and best practices.
This Charter will be a valuable tool in promoting good governance and enhancing public confidence in the Kirinyaga County Public Service Board. While this document sets out our commitments, it is important to note that it does not replace any existing laws or regulations governing the Board.
As we continue to serve the people of Kirinyaga County, we remain dedicated to our mission and committed to the principles outlined in this Charter. Together, we can build a public service that is professional, efficient, and responsive to the needs of our community.
Thank you for your continued support and trust.
